Heather Roberts is the Human Resources Director and first began with COPE in March 2002 as a Case Aide. She worked as a Case Manager and also worked in the Management Information Systems Department before moving to Human Resources (HR) in February 2005 as a Human Resources Assistant. In the HR Department, Heather was a Human Resources Specialist and then Human Resources Coordinator and has gained a wide range of HR experience including payroll, benefits administration, leave administration, and assisting employees and supervisors with various concerns. Heather became the Human Resources Director in November 2012 and now oversees the general functions of the HR Department including the administration of employee benefits and leave, payroll, training, and recruitment. Heather has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Michigan State University and was first certified through the HR Certification Institute as a Professional in Human Resources in 2007. She has been certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources since January 2011. Heather has two beautiful daughters, Olivia and Phoebe. Her favorite past-time is being with family and friends.
